Learning Theories

From teaching to web-based learning
Changes in working life and society require continuous learning. Quite often, web-based studies can be better adapted to the circumstances of a grown-up learner compared to on-campus teaching.
When building web-based studies, the view of learning steers the planning process. It affects the type of learning to be pursued, the share of interaction in learning and the environment that shall be regarded best for learning the methods, knowledge and skills required for the work. The view of learning is also decisive in determining the amount of emphasis on meta-skills necessary for learning.
There are many ways to learn. In some circumstances, traditional methods of teaching and learning work well and can also be utilised in web-based education. In the web, however, traditional methods need to be used alongside with more interactive approaches.
